The article considers the negative consequences of the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and methods of managing the resulting social risks. Ethical, economic, social, cultural, political and legal aspects of the impact of AI are analysed. Quantitative and qualitative methods of risk assessment are described, as well as mitigation strategies, including worker retraining, legislative initiatives and awareness campaigns. International standards and examples of AI risk management are reviewed.
